SHARPOLOGY KNIVES
Sharpology was born from a deep-rooted passion for knives and sharpening, founded by Toufic Constantin, an engineer and master sharpener based just north of Toronto, Ontario. His love for cooking began at a young age, but his frustrations with the dull knives his mother used pushed him to find the perfect blade. Proudly and blindly, he bought her a $300 knife, only to see it lose its edge within weeks. Undeterred, he dove into the world of sharpening, buying stones, binging YouTube videos, and, in the process, ruining her knives—until he finally didn’t.
While studying industrial engineering, he fell down the rabbit hole of materials science, which gave him the tools to experiment and refine his craft. This led to the creation of his first custom knife—a lightweight, ergonomic blade designed specifically for his mother, who had arthritis in her hands. It was a perfect balance of comfort and performance, laying the foundation for Sharpology’s design philosophy.
After graduating, Toufic transformed his parents’ garage into a bladesmith’s dream, quickly becoming the go-to person trusted by Torontonians—and anyone who earns their income with a sharp edge. Chefs, surgeons, hairdressers, dog groomers, barbers, woodworkers, machinists, horticulturalists, and more all turned to him for precision sharpening. Beyond crafting exceptional knives, Sharpology supports the community by offering free sharpening services to all food banks, helping those who need it most.
